Top Ways Police Can Use Mobile Command Units in Texas

1/31/2022

Police mobile command units in Texas are transforming law enforcement and enhancing security with the highest level of flexibility. You might have seen these mobile command units already in movies where there is a tense hostage situation and police cars & SWAT teams are rolling up, and, somewhere in the vicinity, there is a large van-like fortified trailer (or truck). Inside this trailer, you see people making important calls, coming up with plans on what to do next, and giving or denying permissions to take some actions. These trailers from where the whole plan is executed are called police mobile command units.

In today’s time, these command units have become an important part of state-of-the-art security automobile technology, specially engineered for police and other public safety workers. Did you know these mobile command units can be used for a wide range of purposes? If you don’t, let us help you learn the ways you can use these mobile command trailers in Texas.

  1. Crime Labs for Instant Results: Police investigation in most of the cases is delayed because evidence and samples have to be transported to distant labs and police has to wait for days to get the results and proceed with the cases. Fortunately, nowadays, police can speed up the investigation by setting up a crime lab inside mobile command units so that the lab can be brought to the nearest safe place and general tests can be done right away.
  2. Security Units for Mega Events: When police in Texas are given the responsibility of managing the security of a community, a mobile command unit can be used as a mobile headquarter for guards on duty. Apart from this, it can also be used as a mobile station for wireless surveillance of a wide area occupied by thousands of people. So, whether there is a festival, event, or concert, you can always make things more manageable by bringing a police mobile command unit.
  3.  Surveillance Centers for Temporary Basis: Police can also use a mobile command unit as a surveillance point in a remote location or anywhere in Texas where building a permanent surveillance station is not necessary. This unit can be used for days, weeks, or even months to do the surveillance work. Thus, no matter if it’s an area with a high crime rate or the police need to keep a watch on one specific structure, mobile command units are the perfect means to keep an eye on them.
  4.  Search and Rescue Operation: Another most important use of a police mobile command unit in Texas is in search and rescue operations. They are very useful in the search process for someone who is missing or is being sought for a crime. Perfectly designed to be easily accessible for public safety workers, these command units can move and drive to any location for the search process at a moment’s notice.
Apart from this, police mobile command units in Texas also provide a safe place for police officers to stay protected in the event of an emergency or extreme weather.

Thanks to technology! With the continuously changing landscape of the healthcare system across the globe, the progression has boosted the way individuals were receiving healthcare in an emergency as well as ordinary circumstances. Needless to say, the mobile medical clinic has surfaced as the major and important component of the healthcare sector.

Mobile healthcare vehicles are typically designed to provide medical services, bring staff and supplies directly to the locations where there is a dire need. The mobile medical industry has vigorously improved as well as healthcare vehicles have become a useful tool for providing urgent care in emergencies like cyclones, floods, earthquakes, and so on.

In addition to the mobile healthcare services, mobile medical vehicles can also be utilized to educate and train individuals and as pop-up and emergency surgical clinics. Due to the enhancement in the abilities of these mobile health vehicles, more and more healthcare services providers are able to reach out to an enormous part of the population that have zero or little access to healthcare centers in the past. Undoubtedly, mobile health vehicles are convenient, versatile, and economical. Moreover, the abilities of these vehicles will continue to evolve and impress.

Below are some magnificent benefits of Mobile Health Vehicles. Read on to learn more.

  1. Medical Access For Underserved Areas: In Texas, there are some areas that are miles and miles away from the nearest healthcare facility; this also means people in these areas may not get the proper or routine care, check-ups, or health evaluation that they required. No denying; having access to an on-the-go health clinic can leave an immense impact on the health of these underserved communities. Also, it can lessen the stress of needing to take an off from work for regular medical aid.
  2.  Mobile Vehicles Are Versatile: As technology is continuously evolving, so are the capabilities of mobile health vehicles. These vans, trucks, and trailers are designed to offer various services such as vaccinations, dental assistance, disaster relief aid, etc. Furthermore, a medical health clinic on wheels is also versatile in how it can be made to help in varied environments or situations. No matter if it’s a weekly or monthly pop-up clinic for initial care or to offer relief from a natural disaster or epidemic, mobile health clinic on wheels is something that can assure that assistance is on the way.
  3. Mobile Medical Clinics Are Cost-effective: Mobile health vehicles are not only advanced, accessible, and versatile, but they are a cost-efficient choice, especially for the community that might not be able to afford them. In some cases, the expenses of developing a permanent facility and recruiting a full-time staff that is specialized in some specific areas are simply not affordable. On the other hand, medical clinics on wheels are equipped with the essential machinery, and medical staff for specific cases is the most feasible economical alternative.

These were some of the many benefits of mobile health vehicles. To know more, please feel free to get in touch with us.

How Did JHB Change Production to Quickly Fight Coronavirus?

So how did JHB Group, a fire safety equipment manufacturer, start creating mobile trailers for COVID testing and vaccination at short notice?

Well, switching products can be faster that you might imagine, but it’s certainly not the easiest thing to do!

In March 2020, the JHB team needed to figure out a solution for the future of JHB Group.

With short-notice government lockdowns causing every fire department, government agency and county office to shut its doors, the primary market for our custom built fire safety simulators had instantly vanished!

We were suddenly about to have a business with NO customers or income! And if we didn’t do something, and do it quickly, we’d also have no business going forward!

So how did we keep JHB Group running and save our team’s jobs?

We made a quick decision, to pivot!

We shifted from manufacturing fire safety simulators to manufacturing health incident trailers for Covid-19 testing and vaccination.

We worked 18+ hour days for weeks on end to design and manufacture an effective mobile trailer that would safely and effectively test for COVID-19.

The good news is, that by repurposing our production line it maintained, and even increased ten-fold (!) our output since Covid-19 started!

It’s just over a year ago we knew nothing about creating sanitized health trailers for a pandemic emergency, and now we’re making 40+ trailers with new orders coming in every week, relocating to an airplane hanger because we ran out of space! It’s pretty incredible!

And the best part is it helps a much bigger battle - of beating this pandemic!!

But then, once the threat of sudden financial ruin eased, the actual process of manufacturing the health incident trailer proved to be a challenge in itself!

Sourcing suddenly scarce materials is one issue. Although we quickly built-up our production team (still in need of more workers), they’re often at a standstill, waiting for parts and materials to arrive. Getting ahold of plywood, cables, appliances, lighting, electronics, etc are a daily hurtle.

Now we’re spending a large amount of time, just working with the supply chain to make sure that we’re using as many readily available components so that we can make health trailers as fast as humanly possible.

But many times production still gets stalled due to delayed deliveries, and COVID break-outs causing factories to close or become short-handed for staff.

Then, even after sorting out all the design and production for the health incident trailers, getting the trailers modified for COVID vaccination administering. Initially, our health trailers were designed for COVID testing, and general emergency purposes and now that we have vaccines, we’ve had to modify the design of the health trailer, as well as ALL of the health trailers currently in production!

Now that our health trailers have been re-designed over and over more than a dozen times, we’re excited to have developed such a rapid Covid-19 innovation that is also operate as a multi-functional emergency management vehicle. Our health incident trailer can be used for a myriad of emergency situations such as; tornado and severe weather response, surveillance, vaccinations and a multitude of things in-between!
